My team and I, "Now We Blame the Mustard", competed in Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri! Thank you to all who supported us, it meant the world to us. It was a one of a kind experience, and I have no regrets (except that we couldn't be there longer).
We performed well in our skit and problem solved efficiently during our Instant Challenge, but what really made this trip so incredible was the other's performances.
We saw all kinds, from international to elementary. While teams from China were more difficult to understand, their physicality and gestures made it easier to understand, and all their performances were phenomenal. We also saw a team from Canada, and they also were amazing! Destination Imagination brings together people from all over the world.
We also saw all different age groups; elementary, middle level, secondary (high school), and university. The props from the secondary and high school were amazingly detailed, and all of the kids were incredibly talented. Elementary kids were not only adorable, but also genuinely good, despite being so young. I think the over all conclusion is the longer you are in DI, the more competitive it gets, and the more experienced you are. It also showed me you can join at any time!
